Book Summary:

What if the world holds more dangers—and more wonders—than we have ever known? And what if there is more than one world? From Heather Dixon, author of the acclaimed Entwined, comes a brilliantly conceived adventure that sweeps us from the inner workings of our souls to the far reaches of our imaginations.

Jonathan is perfectly ordinary. But then—as every good adventure begins—the king swoops into port, and Jonathan and his father are enlisted to find the cure to a deadly plague. Jonathan discovers that he’s a prodigy at working with a new chemical called fantillium, which creates shared hallucinations—or illusions. And just like that, Jonathan is knocked off his path. Through richly developed parallel worlds, vivid action, a healthy dose of humor, and gorgeous writing, Heather Dixon spins a story that calls to mind The Night Circus and Pixar movies, but is wholly its own.

My Review:

In the world of Fata Morgna, a deadly virus has broken out. It affects only the woman in the world. When the queen get ill it’s up to Jonathan and his father to find a cure quickly. In order to find the cure, they must work with another crazy doctor name, Lady Floral. Which to Jonathan horror his father does not want to work with her after she nearly tries to kill him. Soon it is an race against time as Jonathan find out his mother and sister has contacted the deadly virus. He must risk everything at stake for the cute before time run, even if it mean working with crazy Lady Floral. She somehow hold the answer and the key to the virus and cute, so Jonathan follows her into parallel world where a crazy drug call fantillium to use to make people see stuff. He is force to enter a contest for the cure, host by Lady Floral. When he stays longer in that world he learn more deadly secerts about the virus. Will he make it back in time to save his mother and sister from death? I have this book slowly starting out and hard to get into. May not be for everyone but it is a fun and quick read. If you love some adventure and action, then this book may be for you. So once again Happy Reading..
