A Torch Against the Night (An Ember in the Ashes #2) by Sabaa Tahir

Bella12

Book Summary:

A Torch Against the Night takes readers into the heart of the Empire as Laia and Elias fight their way north to liberate Laia’s brother from the horrors of Kauf Prison. Hunted by Empire soldiers, manipulated by the Commandant, and haunted by their pasts, Laia and Elias must outfox their enemies and confront the treacherousness of their own hearts.

In the city of Serra, Helene Aquilla finds herself bound to the will of the Empire’s twisted new leader, Marcus. When her loyalty is questioned, Helene finds herself taking on a mission to prove herself—a mission that might destroy her, instead.

My Review:

Elias and Laia journey together just begun, escaping the city just the hard part and  living long enough to get to the prison is matter of time. In order to save Laia brother they find old allies to help them out, and race against the clock the before something bad happen to Laia brother. Meanwhile on the hunt for them is Helene is torn between turning her best friend in and serving the empire. She gets put in charge of the hunt. Along the way she find out a war is coming and the empire life may be in danger. Everything is a race against the clock with time and who will live long enough tell about it. This is how much spoil free I will be with this post. This book is just action packed non stop, heart racing, adrenaline rush with so many twists and turn you never see coming. Lucky someone lend me this book and finish it before it comes out Aug, 30th. A must pick up at your local barnes and nobles when it comes out. Sadly the story the is over it for now but until book 3 comes out next year. Enjoy it! Happy 4th and Happy Reading!
