Book Summary:
Thou shalt kill.
A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery. Humanity has conquered all those things, and has even conquered death. Now scythes are the only ones who can end life—and they are commanded to do so, in order to keep the size of the population under control.
Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe—a role that neither wants. These teens must master the “art” of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.
My Review:
In a world with Scythe has the power to take life. They walk around and own the place and taking any lives they see fit to take. With their rules and guidelines that hardly been any diseases, and deaths in years. With the Scythe higher beings walking around to take the lives they wants to even out the living field. Citra and Rowan both had a run in with a scythe once. Citra was lucky enough to bump into scythe and entertain him, while he wait for her neighbor comes home to do his job. Then Rowan saw held his class mate hands while watching a scythe take his life away. The scythe saw something in them and make them his apprentice. With hard training and learning the arts of killings, someone will raise to the top and become the next Scythe. This is a fun action pack book. Leaving you wanting more in the end. The next book comes out next year call Thunderhead. So enjoy and happy Reading! Here is Neal at a signing event I went to this month.
