If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Foreman

Book Summary for If I Stay:

Just listen, Adam says with a voice that sounds like shrapnel.

I open my eyes wide now.
I sit up as much as I can.
And I listen.

Stay, he says.

Choices. Seventeen-year-old Mia is faced with some tough ones: Stay true to her first love—music—even if it means losing her boyfriend and leaving her family and friends behind?

Then one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it’s the only one that matters.

If I Stay is a heartachingly beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make.

My Review:

Mia life had everything going for her, a happy family, going to school and playing music. Until one faithful night everything changes. Now laying in bed in a coma, she has a out of body experience. She can listen to her love ones trying to reach her, along you get flashbacks of Mia life. Can anyone get through to her or is she a lost soul? This is book is very tense and I love it so much. So many feelings where put into it. Throughout the book you just keep rooting for Mia to wake up. Also  there was a movie to this book it’s on hulu now if you have yet seen it. If you have yet read this book you should.

Book Summary for Where She Went:

It’s been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam’s life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard’s rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia’s home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future – and each other.

Told from Adam’s point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

My Review:

Sent three years after If I Stay. You find out what happen to Mia and her boy friend Adam. Now they both living two different live. Mia still cooping with the event of the car accident and Adam is off living his dream. This book is a good fellow up to the story and ending for the Adam and Mia. You get watch them grow up after the first book and both coop with lost during the car accident. They never made this book yet into the movie but hope they do and have the same people in the first one. So hope you guys read both these books and enter the worlds of Mia and Adam for yourself. Happy Reading. Will leave you some music theme for this book.
