My Review:

So I enjoy the movies your name so much even reviewed the movie here, {Movie Review} Your Name. Recently the mange to it just came out and the light novel for it. Which I have gotten the light novel. So I do count manga as books you read them and they have awesome story line. Love this book so much, it’s about an girl and boy who keep switching bodies throughout the book. Kinda like freaky Friday feel going on with a huge twist at the end. Can’t really say a whole lot about the book without spoiling. Hope it comes to bluray/dvd soon so you guys enjoy the anime. In meantime you can pick up the light novel and manga to tide you over. With the manga it’s not the whole story as there an book two coming out in fall.  So if you an big anime nerd like me you might fall in love with this book and the movie. So Happy Reading!

Rise of the Isle of the Lost (Descendants #3) by Melissa de la Cruz

Book Summary:

Ride with the tide!

Deep beneath the waves, King Triton’s powerful trident has passed through the magical barrier that surrounds the Isle of the Lost—keeping villains in and magic out. And when Mal’s longtime rival Uma, daughter of Ursula, gets wind of this, she can’t believe her luck. The tide has dragged in something good for a change, and Uma is determined to get her wicked hands on it. But first, she needs a pirate crew.

A storm is brewing back in Auradon, and when Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay hear that the trident has been washed away, they realize they’ll have to find it before anyone from the Isle does. Luckily, they seem to have a talent for locating missing magical objects.

As Uma readies for the high seas alongside Harry, son of Captain Hook, Gil, son of Gaston, and the toughest rogues on the Isle of the Lost, the reformed villains of Auradon devise their own master plan. And with King Ben away on royal business, they won’t have to play by all the rules. Using bad for good can’t be totally evil, right?

The thrilling, perilous race to the trident puts old friends—and current enemies—against each other with the future of Auradon on the line. Both teams might like to make waves, but only one will come out on top of this one.

My Review:

The villains kids are back, this time settling in good in their roles at Auradan prep. When Mal new friend loses King Triton trident, it’s up to them to save the day and go to to isles of lost. It’s a race against the clock on who is find the trident first? Everyone by now everyone on the isle knows it’s somewhere close by. On the hunt is Uma, the sea witch daughter, Harry, son of Hook and Gil, son of Gaston. With these villains on the isle on the hunt, can Mal and her friends find it in time? This book is fun and upbeat for a middle grade read. Love the backstory of how Uma and Mal used to be friend before the movie comes out in July 21. So enjoy the story how the it all began the feud between Uma and Mal and see the movie of their showdown July 21st. Happy Reading!

Book Summary:

We sat at the edge of the ocean—my sister Henri and I—inches apart but not touching at all. We’d been so sure someone would find us by now.

I’d trusted Henri more than I’d trusted myself. Wherever she told me to go, I’d follow.

Then the unthinkable occurs—a watery nightmare off the dazzling coast. The girls wash up on shore, stranded. Their only companion is Alex, a troubled boy agonizing over his own secrets. Trapped in this gorgeous hell, Emma and Alex fall together as Emma and Henri fall catastrophically apart.

For the first time, I was afraid we’d die on this shore.

Ari is known as the White Wraith, a person who steal dragons organs for profit. During her hunt she find Cvareh, an dragon himself. He offers an boon, to do a flavor and help him on his quest. Ari accept for her own needs. When Ari home where she is staying get attack by other dragons, then she knows Cvareh is hiding something from her. Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts

Book Summary:

Being a bastard blows. Tilla would know. Her father, Lord Kent of the Western Province, loved her as a child, but cast her aside as soon as he had trueborn children.

At sixteen, Tilla spends her days exploring long-forgotten tunnels beneath the castle with her stablehand half brother, Jax, and her nights drinking with the servants, passing out on Jax’s floor while her castle bedroom collects dust. Tilla secretly longs to sit by her father’s side, resplendent in a sparkling gown, enjoying feasts with the rest of the family. Instead, she sits with the other bastards, like Miles of House Hampstedt, an awkward scholar who’s been in love with Tilla since they were children.

Then, at a feast honoring the visiting princess Lyriana, the royal shocks everyone by choosing to sit at the Bastards’ Table. Before she knows it, Tilla is leading the sheltered princess on a late-night escapade. Along with Jax, Miles, and fellow bastard Zell, a Zitochi warrior from the north, they stumble upon a crime they were never meant to witness.

Rebellion is brewing in the west, and a brutal coup leaves Lyriana’s uncle, the Royal Archmagus, dead—with Lyriana next on the list. The group flees for their lives, relentlessly pursued by murderous mercenaries; their own parents have put a price on their heads to prevent the king and his powerful Royal Mages from discovering their treachery.

The bastards band together, realizing they alone have the power to prevent a civil war that will tear their kingdom apart—if they can warn the king in time. And if they can survive the journey . .

My Review:

Tilla is a bastard, her father toss her aside like his other kids once he got a real heir to the throne. Bastards kids get their own table and have freedom to do whatever they want to. When a feast to honor the princess Lyrianna things don’t go as plan. They bastards witness something their folks did and now on the run with the princess. Now lives just hang in the balance. Who will live or die at the end of this journey? This book does have a little slow and hard getting into it a first. It picks up a a bit the story and mostly everyone just been on the run throughout the book. Lots of action, some magic and little romance. Find out what it takes to be a royal bastard for yourself. Happy Reading!
