Book Summary:

Ten years ago, King Lorcan of the Dark Kingdom Dorjhalon defeated Queen Evelayn and cut her conduit stone from her. Since then, he has kept her trapped in her swan form. With the loss of balance between Dark and Light, winter has descended and the Draíolon of Éadrolan lose more power every day. But once a year, Lorcan transforms her back to her Draíolon form and offers a truce. And every year Evelayn refuses — for he requires her to Bind herself to him for life.
But now, with an Ancient power bearing down upon them, everything may change. Evelayn will learn that the truths she once believed have shattered, and that she may need her enemies even more than her allies. Lorcan and Evelayn become partners in a desperate quest to return the balance of power to Lachalonia. How far will this partnership go? Can friendship — perhaps even love — bloom where hatred has taken root?

The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones

21767908_10210534345061474_7164158774707151829_n

Book Summary:

When Dee Moreno makes a deal with a demon—her heart in exchange for an escape from a disastrous home life—she finds the trade may have been more than she bargained for. And becoming “heartless” is only the beginning. What lies ahead is a nightmare far bigger, far more monstrous than anything she could have ever imagined.

With reality turned on its head, Dee has only a group of other deal-making teens to keep her grounded, including the charming but secretive James Lancer. And as something grows between them amid an otherworldy ordeal, Dee begins to wonder: Can she give someone her heart when it’s no longer hers to give?

My Review:

In a world where demons and humans are force to co-exist with each other. Some humans will send their limbs or organs for wishes. With Dee down on her luck and no where else to turn to you, she sells her heart to a demon. Now a servant working with others heartless like herself she must learn to live a life without an heart. This book sotryline was something different which I enjoy. It a fast pace read and pretty neat seeing an world where demons are in hiding but doing deals for humans for their personal needs. Why the demons there in the first place and taking limbs as wish payments? Why the heartless have an job to close voids? Find what secrets these demons are hiding. If your heartless can you truly love someone? Happy Reading!

And Magnus, the brave, reckless flirt who wants to win back her favor, is assigned to their mission. Together, they will face monsters, meet powerful new allies, and uncover the most devastating weapon of all: the truth.

Vivian Carter is fed up. Fed up with a school administration at her small-town Texas high school that thinks the football team can do no wrong. Fed up with sexist dress codes, hallway harassment, and gross comments from guys during class. But most of all, Viv Carter is fed up with always following the rules.

Viv’s mom was a tough-as-nails, punk rock Riot Grrrl in the ’90s, and now Viv takes a page from her mother’s past and creates a feminist zine that she distributes anonymously to her classmates. She’s just blowing off steam, but other girls respond. As Viv forges friendships with other young women across the divides of cliques and popularity rankings, she realizes that what she has started is nothing short of a girl revolution.

Moxie is a book about high school life that will make you wanna riot!

My Review:

In a Texas high school, the boys rules the place. They can get away with anything they want. The girl their are picked on, have dress codes. When Vivian gets fed up how the school works, she becomes Moxie. And rebel girl who speaks her mind for the girls. Can Moxie help make Vivian days of high school worth it? I really enjoy this book, it was very different and fun. Even the music that mention in the book is real music back in the dad. I had to look up rebel girls song on youtube. You get to see how shy Vivian channel her inner Moxie in hiding, thanks to her mom’s old days of rebel and music. So are you ready to become an Moxie girl? Book comes out next week. Happy Reading!

21270922_10210388910825709_1222457841299945080_n

Book Summary:

The battle for the Crown has begun, but which of the three sisters will prevail?

With the unforgettable events of the Quickening behind them and the Ascension Year underway, all bets are off. Katharine, once the weak and feeble sister, is stronger than ever before. Arsinoe, after discovering the truth about her powers, must figure out how to make her secret talent work in her favor without anyone finding out. And Mirabella, once thought to be the strongest sister of all and the certain Queen Crowned, faces attacks like never before—ones that put those around her in danger she can’t seem to prevent.

In this enthralling sequel to Kendare Blake’s New York Times bestselling Three Dark Crowns, Fennbirn’s deadliest queens must face the one thing standing in their way of the crown: each other.

My Review:

So the book picks up where it left off, Queen Katherine back from the dead. Now time for the revenge and planning of her sister’s death. Not all the sister’s want to kill each other. There Arsinoe who still loves her sisters and the memories she has when they were taken to be train and kill each other for the throne. There is Mirabella still not unsure what to make after Arsinoe’s bear went and try to kill her. There is always a price of death that comes with the crown. Which sister will be the next queen? Well I was lucky enough to host my first blog tour. This book you guys will love better then the first one. Both books where pretty good. I am team Katherine all the way. You get to see what has become of Katherine after she comes back from the dead. I am more like Arsinoe queen where I just want all the sisters alive in the end and being happy. So afraid how the author will end the book. One Dark throne has more action and some deaths you won’t see coming. Book comes out September 19th but you guys will be lucky enough to enter my giveaway for the arc! Thanks again to Morgan the publisher and Kendare Blake for a change to do my first blog tout. Hope I get to do this again for the third book. Happy Reading!!

Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst

21433247_10210416372192226_2938908793569505950_n

Book Summary:

Pearl is a sixteen-year-old vampire… fond of blood, allergic to sunlight, and mostly evil… until the night a sparkly unicorn stabs her through the heart with his horn. Oops.

Her family thinks she was attacked by a vampire hunter (because, obviously, unicorns don’t exist), and they’re shocked she survived. They’re even more shocked when Pearl discovers she can now withstand the sun. But they quickly find a way to make use of her new talent. The Vampire King of New England has chosen Pearl’s family to host his feast. If Pearl enrolls in high school, she can make lots of human friends and lure them to the King’s feast—as the entrees.

The only problem? Pearl’s starting to feel the twinges of a conscience. How can she serve up her new friends—especially the cute guy who makes her fangs ache—to be slaughtered? Then again, she’s definitely dead if she lets down her family. What’s a sunlight-loving vamp to do?

My Review:

So what happens when an unicorn stabs a vampire in the heart? That’s what happen to 16 year old Pearl one faithful night. Now she somehow can handle daylight. With her family pushing her to enter high school to try to become one of them. Read this book years ago, it was a good fast read. Get to see what it’s like for an vampire to pass off being human. The catch is she must bring home food for a big party coming up. With Pearl now becoming more human like, will she have the heart to serve her new friends to her family? Whatever happen to that unicorn that stab her in the heart? So many life’s answer to be solve by picking up the book for yourself. Lucky barnes and nobles have the books in stock to get ready for the movie. This month lifetime movie network will air Drink, Slay, Love on tv. Happy Reading and watching. Here is teaser Trailer.

Book Summary:

Before the war, Eden’s life was easy—air conditioning, ice cream, long days at the beach. Then the revolution happened, and everything changed.

Now a powerful group called the Wolfpack controls the earth and its resources. Eden has lost everything to them. They killed her family and her friends, destroyed her home, and imprisoned her. But Eden refuses to die by their hands. She knows the coordinates to the only neutral ground left in the world, a place called Sanctuary Island, and she is desperate to escape to its shores.

Eden finally reaches the island and meets others resistant to the Wolves—but the solace is short-lived when one of Eden’s new friends goes missing. Braving the jungle in search of their lost ally, they quickly discover Sanctuary is filled with lethal traps and an enemy they never expected.

This island might be deadlier than the world Eden left behind, but surviving it is the only thing that stands between her and freedom.

My Review:

Wolfpack and powerful group that have taken over the world mostly. Eden an girl who been locked up, mange to escape with a group of unknown people. Together they must work together to find an safe place to hide out. Only clue to finding a safe haven lays in her father’s journal that he left her. This was pretty alright and good start for world building and all. They mostly find an island that is not all that it seems and some of Eden friends have secrets of their own. So which is worse the island or wolfpack? Well that you must read and find out. Happy Reading!
