{Arc Review} When Life Gives You Demons by Jennifer Honeybourn

Book Summary:
Sixteen-year-old Shelby Black has spent the past year training to be an exorcist. Her great-uncle Roy—a Catholic priest and Shelby’s guardian—believes she has a gift for expelling demons, and he’s put her through exorcist boot camp hell, but he still doesn’t trust her to do an exorcism on her own.
High school is hard enough without having to explain that you fight demons for a living, so Shelby keeps her extracurricular activity quiet, especially from Spencer, her cute math tutor. Secrets run in Shelby’s family, though: her mother has been missing ever since an exorcism went horribly wrong, and Uncle Roy is tight-lipped about it. But Shelby’s hell-bent on finding her mom, no matter what—even if what it ends up costing her her soul AND a date with Spencer.

My Review:

Another original book I read over vacation. It was such a fun book and I really like the cover to it and also the story.

Shelby, a girl who trained to exorcist demons. I enjoy watching the struggle she deals with keeping her secrets from her friends and also lead a normal life. Will she be able to maintain a balance of normal life and demons?

The book had a Buffy the vampire slayer vibe, but with demons than vampires. It’s also action pack, a lot of demon killing. The book comes out July 17th this month. Keep an eye out for it.

So what would you do, When Life Hands You Demons??

Happy Reading!!

Undead Girls Gang by Lily Anderson

Book Summary:
Mila Flores and her best friend Riley have always been inseparable. There’s not much excitement in their small town of Cross Creek, so Mila and Riley make their own fun, devoting most of their time to Riley’s favorite activity: amateur witchcraft.
So when Riley and two Fairmont Academy mean girls die under suspicious circumstances, Mila refuses to believe everyone’s explanation that her BFF was involved in a suicide pact. Instead, armed with a tube of lip gloss and an ancient grimoire, Mila does the unthinkable to uncover the truth: she brings the girls back to life.
Unfortunately, Riley, June, and Dayton have no recollection of their murders, but they do have unfinished business to attend to. Now, with only seven days until the spell wears off and the girls return to their graves, Mila must wrangle the distracted group of undead teens and work fast to discover their murderer…before the killer strikes again.

My Review:

Thought this book was very original and creative. Enjoyed the storyline and the characters.

Mila, really misses her best friend Riley. When she died, she came up with a plan to bring her back and solve her death. I liked Mila in the book. The way she copes with her friend death is crazy, but she does out of love. Can Mila really bring her friend back or she just loosing her mind?

This book is for zombies lovers out there. It’s about coping with a lost of friend also. There are some fun moments in this book. I’m glad I took a chance to read it. Looking for something new, then read Undead Girls Gang.

Happy Reading!!
