Book Summary:

My Review:
That night was unforgettable. A tragic event that leads two people picking up the pieces. It may been years since that night had happen, but things never was the same for Jess and Lucas. Both dealing with it differently.
The book was such a sad read. I like reading how much Jess and Lucas lives change over the years. I like how the story switches the point of views to the characters, so we get a feel on what they been through.
Jess been kinda a loner after that night took her brother away. She struggles to keep it together for her mother. Never let her guard or let anyone in. That is until Lucas comes in picture. By chance they meet as working buddies. With both still grieving about that night, will they be able to get through it together?
The book is may be sensitive to other readers. It’s about an shooting that took place and people trying to coop with the pain and loss. I thought it was lacking a bit the book. I would have liked to see an flashback about what happen that night. You can connect with the characters on how they feeling. It’s an overall good read, if you into drama type books. Recently hit the shelves.
