I am a weed.
Unloved by my abusive, alcoholic dad. Unwanted by my classmates. Unnoticed by everyone else.
But I’d suffer anything to give my kid sister a better life—the minute I turn eighteen, I’m getting us the hell out of here. And some hot stranger telling me I am the key to stopping a war between Heaven and Hell isn’t going to change that.
Let the world crumble and burn, for all I care.
Draven is relentless, though. And very much a liar. Every time his sexy lips are moving, I can see it—in the dip of his head, the grit of his jaw—even if my heart begs me to ignore the signs.
So what does he want?
I need to figure it out fast, because now everyone is gunning for me. And damn if I don’t want to show them what happens when you let weeds thrive in the cracks of the pavement…
We can grow powerful enough to shatter the whole foundation.
Ember of Night was so epic! The storyline was so magical. I feel bad kinda bad for Harley in the beginning. She deals with so much abuse from her father. Also deals with a lot on her own so she can protect her sister. Then on her 18 birthday, things turn more upside for her.
Harley just keeps to herself, waiting to get out of her father’s grip and save her sister. While trying to get her life together, things turns upside down, thank to Draven. Now her life is endangered and have demons after her. She must now accept her faith or the people she love gets hurt. There is no one to trust.
Draven is such a hottie demon with his own secrets. The book will have some demons to fall in love with. Not sure who you can really trust. 🤔 Draven is just another misunderstood demon, Right????
Then there Harley who just accepts everything without being afraid. She takes her beatings and fight back also. Only thing she cares about her sister life and friends she can trust. You don’t want to mess with her when she is angry.
This book deals with trigger warnings of abused for some readers. It also filled with lots of twists and a crazy ending. I loved the story and characters withing the book. This is a great start to a new fantasy world. Now just can’t wait to get my hand on book two.
