Small Favors by Erin A. Craig

Summary:

Ellerie Downing lives in the quiet town of Amity Falls in the Blackspire Mountain range–five narrow peaks stretching into the sky like a grasping hand, bordered by a nearly impenetrable forest from which the early townsfolk fought off the devils in the woods. To this day, visitors are few and rare. But when a supply party goes missing, some worry that the monsters that once stalked the region have returned.

As fall turns to winter, more strange activities plague the town. They point to a tribe of devilish and mystical creatures who promise to fulfill the residents’ deepest desires, however grand and impossible, for just a small favor. But their true intentions are much more sinister, and Ellerie finds herself in a race against time before all of Amity Falls, her family, and the boy she loves go up in flames.

My Review:

Small Favors was a creepy book. The storyline was very interesting since it set on a small town. Then when strange creatures starts attacking, the weather a mess, something crazy going on in this town. I like the cover of the book, even if I hate bees.

I did like the main character, Ellerie. She is all about keep her family safe. Also learning the ropes of bee keeping from her father. When when her brother and father is attack by strange monster, she must try to stay calm for her family. The town is a mess, people start blaming each other for everything. Ellerie must be brave and find the answers soon or she might go mad as the rest of the town.

I did liked this book and the creepy vibe to it. I thought it was way to long and the story dragged out. I love this aurthor other book, The House of Salt and Sorrows better. Some of you readers may enjoy it better than I did. Will still read more by this author. This book is another good vibe for fall season.
