A beastly fae king with a deadly curse. A devious bargain to break it…
All Gemma Bellefleur wants is to leave her past behind and forget the day scandal broke her heart. But when she’s captured by a trickster fae king who threatens to hold her for ransom, she’ll find herself at the top of the gossip column yet again.
Unless…
Plagued by a curse that will soon claim his life, the human-hating King Elliot will do anything to save himself. And if Gemma can use that to her advantage, she might be able to bargain her way to freedom. All she has to do is help him break his curse.
There’s just one hitch—to do so, they’ll have to trick someone into falling in love with the beastly, brooding Elliot.
With a devious alliance made, their scheme begins, bringing Gemma and Elliot into very close quarters. Soon, an unexpected desire stirs where once there was only hate. But Gemma must fight it. For when the curse is broken, Elliot will return to his true form—a wolf—and be lost to her for good.
Can Gemma sacrifice her budding feelings to save the king’s life? Or will love force her to give up something even greater…her heart?
My Review:
A awesome Beauty and Beast retelling with hot wold faes.
Gemma just wants to live her life independently. She don’t believe in love or marriage after a scandal. Gemma spends days reading and pretending to care at her new place. When she gets a chance to work, she takes it. Even if it means getting kidnap by a fae with a curse. With Gemma life on the line, she ends up helping the Fae break the curse.
The Curse of the Wolf King was a prefect beauty and beast retelling. So can relate to Gemma since all I wanna do just hide out in a book. Then you have King Fae who is very stubborn in the book, but desperate to break curse. I so love how much the main characters interact with each other. It may be a slow burn romance which I like in books. I think slow burns are more realistic then the instant romance reads. I like the cover so much. This aurthor has more classic retelling to read. So I must check them out.
Looking for another Fae read and disney retelling, check out The Cursed of the Wolf King.
Belle Morte. One of five houses where vampires reside as celebrities and humans are paid to be their living donors. While others came here seeking fortune, I came in search of my sister who walked into Belle Morte five months ago . . . and never walked back out.
Now that I’m here, the secrets about this world have proven to be much bigger than I ever anticipated. And lurking around every corner are shocking insinuations of what happened to my sister.
There’s only one person who might have the answers I need, and the undeniable pull I feel toward him is terrifying: Edmond Dantès―a vampire, and my mortal enemy.
The harder I try to resist him, the further I fall under his spell. And in one instant my life is irrevocably changed. My past becomes prologue and my fate becomes sealed behind these doors.
Belle Morte has spoken. And it may never let me go.
My Review:
Welcome to a world where vampires are popular.
There are donors for the vampires. They are willing to get paid to be bitten. When one donor goes missing, her sister end up taking her place. She must unlock the secrets of Belle Morte before it’s to late.
Belle Morte was just a liked for me. The storyline idea and summary sounded so good. I felt they kinda of rush everything in the book. Also everything was predictable to me on what happen to main character sister and the ending. The ending did left me curious on what will happen next. The cover I do like for this book.
Despite my review, I do think some of my readers may enjoy it better than me. If you still love twilight or Carve series, then you may liked Belle Morte.

My Review:
Welcome to Hotel Magnifique. A magical hotel where all your dreams come true at a price.
Jani is ready to start a new life with her sister. When an ad pops up to work at Hotel Magnifique, she takes it. Along with her sister she is dragged into this dangerous world. What secerts lives a head for the sisters?
Hotel Magnifique was such magical book. It was fast pace and hard to put down. I love the storyline and the characters in it. Jani and Bel interaction with each other was fun at times. The cover is so pretty to look at. I enjoyed the idea of a magic hotel with dark secrets. It was something different than I normally read. This prefect for all fantasy lovers out there and Caraval by Stephanie Garber fans also.
Are you ready to take the key and unlock Hotel Magnifique?

*NOTE this book is upper YA/NA featuring mature situations and some adult language. The romance is slow burn but leads to moderate steam.

My Review:
Are you ready to sleep with the lights on?
Welcome to Ulalume Academy. With some strange ghost stories that may be true. The new girl Finch suffers from a tragic in the beginning of book. She looks different from the other girl and also feels different. Somehow she starts hearing voices and might have unleash a spirit. Somehow popular girl, Selena and her friends get involved. They get tempted giving the ghost anything she wants for favors. Can they work together to solve this mystery before it to late?
My Dearest Darkest is a prefect creepy read for horror fans. So many crazy stuff happening in the book with scary twists. I don’t think I be brave enough to give a ghost my nails for good grades. It just crazy how far these girls go to just get what they want. Lucky the main character, Finch has the right to be scare. I like the point of views between Finch and Selena in the book. Even enjoy how the girls interact with other. This book has a slow burn romance, high school drama and some jump scares for readers. Another pretty cover I liked also.

My Review:
What happens when a mother dies and almost take her kids with her?
Calliope is on the hunt for the truth. After so many years she ready to step into her mother’s footsteps by attending her old school. She will try to understand her mom better, also unlock the mystery of her death years ago. Did her mother really tried to kill herself and her daughters?
I liked Very Bad People. It was kinda of slow burn mystery, that I enjoyed. A lot of guessing games on who to trust or not. It had some nice twists towards the end. I do liked Kit Frick mystery books and looking forward to more of her reads. This book was a very quick read and is hard to put down until you get answers. Looking for a good mystery, then check out Very Bad People.

Jordan is the gorgeous rowing star and school captain of Luca’s new school. Everyone says he’s straight – but Luca’s not so sure . . .

My Review:
Ready to dance?
Luca is a talented ballerina. His dreams gets taken away from him after breaking his foot. Now force to go to a new school, he end up trying to find himself again. Even it means loosing the one thing he loves to do.
Anything but Fine I really did love. I do love reading any type of dance books. This one was different since the main dancer is a boy. Also I love how breathtaking the cover is. This book has a trigger warning with bullying and racist in it, since Luca gay and getting picked on. Thought it was a realistic book on what goes on with high school drama and dance.
This book is prefect for readers who love dance and slow burn romance. So check out Anything but Fine.
In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born—three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.
But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose…it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.
The last queen standing gets the crown.
My Review:
When three sisters are separated when they are younger, they are train to kill each other for the crown.
Katharine is fearless in the book. She has the gift of poison and been suffering through it. Katharine is ready to kill her sisters and be queen already.
Mirabella is gifted with the elements. She is very powerful, but not ready to kill her sisters. Mirabella has memories of them being happy when they where younger. Her heart is not into killing anyone.
Arsinoe is supposed to have the gift to control animals and bloom flowers. Somehow her gift never developed and she willing to do anything to keep her secret and get the crown.
All three wannabe queens are ready to destroy each other. Who will win in the end?
Three Dark Crowns is a four book series. I am doing a mini reread of the first two books so I can finish rest of series. When you have so many book series to finish up because you get sidetracked by all the new books. I did love this book a lot even if it was a slow start. I’m so team Katharine all the way. Also little scare how this whole series will end when I’m finished. For those new to this world might enjoyed it also. I love the little crowns on each covers of the book.
