This Vicious Grace by Emily Thiede

Three weddings. Three funerals. Alessa’s gift from the gods is supposed to magnify a partner’s magic, not kill every suitor she touches.

Now, with only weeks left until a hungry swarm of demons devours everything on her island home, Alessa is running out of time to find a partner and stop the invasion. When a powerful priest convinces the faithful that killing Alessa is the island’s only hope, her own soldiers try to assassinate her.

Desperate to survive, Alessa hires Dante, a cynical outcast marked as a killer, to become her personal bodyguard. But as rebellion explodes outside the gates, Dante’s dark secrets may be the biggest betrayal. He holds the key to her survival and her heart, but is he the one person who can help her master her gift or destroy her once and for all?

My Review:

What if you have the power to save the world, but your gift end up killing people?

Alessa has spent her whole left locked away. She has a gift that can enhance a person magic, but with a price. Now she is cursed and people want her dead. Alessa can’t even trust the people to guard her. Now she seeks outside help to protect. Is he the answer to save the world? Sometimes you might have to break the rules to save everyone.

This Vicious Grace was such a magical read. It one of those book where the names are hard to say, but you still understand what going on. I do have a bit of a crush on Dante in the book. Love the cover to both the US one and fairy loot. The story was very tense at times. It was such a good high fantasy series and strong start. I’m looking forward on what will happen next. There characters to fall in love with and to hate. Plus some family drama going on. The world building was so good.

Here is the fairyloot cover:

Ready for a new fantasy adventure, then read This Vicious Grace!

Happy Reading!!!!
