My Review:

The Liar’s Crown was a epic adventure. Which I did enjoyed the story. After a while it starts to get predictable in the middle of the book. The characters I did liked and the cover I do love so much.

The story was good dealing with twin sisters. One is in hiding, while the other takes the thorne. When the queen dies, the hidden sister takes her sister spot. Little did she known she was going to get kidnap. The kingdom and world she knew comes to light. Can she save her sister, before it to late?

I liked the bond the twins have for each other. They got each other back no matter what in the book. The ending was good enough for me to see what will happen in book two. I thought it was a nice starts to a fantasy series. This was mainly a liked read not love since it was predictable for me at times. Hopefully some readers on here will like it better.

My Review:

Ballad of Never After was so good. I enjoyed going back into the world again. Still love Jack no matter what he does. Still have to finish up Caraval series. Would like to know more Jack backstory. I get so sidetracked by so many reads. This book is so magical and fun characters to love or hate. The world building is perfect.

Evangeline is still like her. She learning her lesson a bit not to trust Jack. Also getting herself always into trouble. Evangeline tries hard to solve stuff herself, but always finding her way back to Jack. The man who had tricked her. This time she dealing with more curses, running for life and can’t seem to trust anyone. Poor girl can’t get a break.

This book was so magical and action packed. I hope there more to this world. Best thing you don’t have to read Caraval to understand what going on. It just I want to so I get more of Jack story when I can. Ready to go back to Once Upon a Broken Heart series?

I do love the BN edition so much.

My Review:

The Weight of the Blood was just alright for me. The title and cover looks and sounds exciting. Also do like the aurthor books. This one just was not that good. It like the young adult version of Carrie. Which you can’t mess with the original Carrie story. It was like reading the kid verison of the movie.

Maddy in the book gets picked for her race. The School is filled with bullies. It like back in the day where the blacks and whites are separated and have color proms. The School seems very racist. The bullies in the books are crazy, blaming everything on Maddy. Maddy just try to stay under the radar. The whole school and people just a mess. Maddy is just in the center of it.

You don’t mess with a good classic like Carrie. I’m sad there was no wow factor with this book either. Plus I read to many thrillers and horror so maybe everything getting way to predictable for me. I’m sure some readers on here will like this better than me. This book may not be for me, but you guys might like it.

My Review:

What would you do if your best friend becomes possessed by a demon?

Amy life seems prefect, with her small group of housewives. They get together for their monthly wine and unwind from life. When they go christen the she shed, something evil awakens. Now they must find a way to save one of their own before it’s to late.

Suburban Hell was such a fun read. Prefect for the fall and Halloween. I also the cover and the housewives in it. The storyline was pretty original to me. The heroes are clueless housewives. Which is pretty funny to read. I would love this as a series. The book is an adult horror read. I think most of my readers on here will enjoy this for Halloween this year.

My Review:

This review was very difficult to write for me. I’m a Girl was such a good book. It was a very realistic read. Courtney Summers knows how to break a read. The cover I liked also. The main character just goes through a lot in this. Which breaks my heart.

Georgia is a native 16 year girl. After her mom dies, she wants to get a job. Georgia wants to be this it girl, like her mother. But she truly don’t know how dangerous it is to become one. She don’t understand how harsh the world is or even what is right or wrong.

I’m the Girl has a lot of trigger warnings in it. So this read may be hard for some readers to read. I will read this book again down the road. Just right now taking time to process on what I just read. This book recently came out, so check it out..

Percy Jackson & The Lighting Theft by Rick Riordan

My Review:

It been soo long since I read Percy Jackson series. When I saw the trailer for the new TV series. I knew I must reread the books again. Once I dig them out. Lucky for new readers they have awesome boxsets and new covers of the books.

Percy Jackson is not your typical kid. He may enjoy kid stuff, go to school and have a supportive mother. On his dad side tells a different when he discovers he is a half blood of a god. Now everyone seems to want him dead, when monsters starts attacking him and his family. He must figure out who he is before it’s to late.

I also have thing for Greek mythology books. This series is action packed and the characters grow up so much at the end. Plus it a little educational for readers. Both young and old readers will love this series.

Here the trailer and it gives me chills. Looks so much better then the bad movies they made.

My Review:

Hannah spent most of all her life in a mental hospital. She claims she has the power to time travel into the pass. Has episodes where she is poor in a village and willing to do anything to save her village. She becomes a thief and a liar to save her family in the past. No one believes her story of time travel, except Jorden. He take an liking to Hannah and willing to try and save her from herself.

The Girl in the Castle was an alright book to me. I was very interested in the summary of the book and it mostly take place in a mental hospital. This read kinda fell flat to me. I did not really like it and some of the characters where annoying in it. Mostly Jordan was getting on my nerves half the time. He just instantly got obsessed saving Hannah. Hardly knew her and it was like love at first sight. Don’t like those type of things.

I may not enjoyed this book, but I’m sure other readers on here might like it better than me. The book comes out September 19th this month. I always say if you unsure reading this book, then check it out at local library.

My Review:

Ready for a Halloween party with a side of murder?

Alice life turns upside on Halloween, when she had to watch her sister get killed. Now she must face the killer in courtroom. Then suddenly she gets transported back to the day her sister died. Alice must relive the nightmare again and have until midnight to find the real killer.

How to survive your murder was such an amazing read. This book is full of crazy twists you never see coming. This was a prefect mystery/thriller for Halloween or fall. I would read more books by this aurthor when I get a chance. The cover is so cute and I love it. Even I enjoy the characters within the book. Really can read this book over and over again. Finally a thriller book that I did not know who was killer in the first 5 pages. This book is a must read, so check it out.
