My Review:

This is book two of Crave if you have yet read book one, then you can disregard this review.

Crush pick up where we left off in the first book. Grace walking around the campus with no memory of what happen to her in the pass months. Each day Grace starts loosing track of the time and more memories. While everyone wonders what happens to Hudson, they find out he could be very close.

This book was such a fast pace read. I really love how much each have the characters have grown since the last book. There so many fun new characters you might love and enjoy. It still full of some fun twists and turns until the very end.

This time Grace is not a useless human, she finds out she a badass gargoyle. As we all have find out at the end of Crave. This time you will see her train and access her abilities and prove that she does belongs. Also while dealing, with two hot vampire brothers pinning for her attention.

So enjoy the fun in Crush.

My Review:

What happens when your life turn upside and move into a boarding school?

Grace has lost everything and now she moves in with her cousin and uncle. They live an boarding school, which things are not as they seem. Being a new girl is hard enough, but you got everyone staring at you.

Grace feels like something more going on at this school, there are some family secrets she discovers along the way.

Jaxon a close off from everyone and is a vampire, wants nothing to do with Grace being at the school. They always bump heads, even if Grace don’t know that he is a vampire at first.

Grace is about to discover this magical world that seems so unreal.

This book was so good. I enjoyed the story and the setting to it. Who would have thought there be a boarding school with magical creatures.

I did like Grace in the book. She had a trouble past, and cooping with a lot of change, but she is smart enough to know something is up at the school.

I love Jaxon so much, he is in his own little world. Kinda rules the school and won’t let anyone get out of line. Grace makes things hard on him since she don’t play by Jaxon rules.

This is a new fresh take with the vampire genre and I’m glad I was able to read it. It was fun and exciting read, with a ending leaving you wanting me.

Miss you Love you Hate you Bye by Abby Sher

My Review:

What happens when your best friend is hiding a dark secret from you?

Zoe and Hank does everything together.  Been best friends forever.

Hank aka Hanna, always following in Zoe footsteps. Has a problem saying no to her, even if she feels uncomfortable doing what Zoe says. She also dealing with the lost of her father and trying to be civil with the new man in her mom’s life. Hank may have the looks of her life together, but on the inside dealing with grief and lost.

Zoe is dealing with a lot of stress in her life. Her family is falling a part, she also don’t feel comfortable with her weight. She tried to have fun in dangerous ways, instead of dealing with the problems at hand. The only control she has is not eating and cutting herself. Zoe will drag Hank with her into dangerous fun to escape her problems.

Will Hank be able to get through to Zoe before it’s to late?

I really did enjoy the book. It deals a lot with sensitive issues like eating disorder and cutting. The way the friends the interact with each other, I did like in the book. They are like  so codependent on each other. Think they be lost without each other.  You watch them grow in the book and learning to be themselves at the same time. You get so drawn into the story good and hard to put until the very end.

This book is a good friendship read,no matter what happens you hope they are still friends in the end.

{Arc Review} Break the Fall by Jennifer lacopelli

My Review:

What goes on when you complete for the Olympics? Lots of drama, boy crazy and scandals.

Aubrey is doing the best she can. Since this may be the last time she performs at the Olympics. She fighting the pain in her back from spinal surgery, along with team drama. When the team hit with a big scandal, sides will be taken and the gold medal may be out of reach. Will Aubrey be able to get the team focus enough to win.

This book was a fast pace read. I do enjoy the storyline and the characters in it. Aubrey is a fighter until the very end. It may her last time doing the Olympic, but she must rethink what to do afterwards. Hopefully she can ralley her team together and make happy memories in the end. I do like gymnastics stories a lot. It a fun sport to me and this book was prefect read.

{Arc Review} Furious Things by Jenny Downham

Book Summary:

My Review:

Being angry all the time can hurt the ones you love, but is it really a mental thing or something going on at home.

Lex seems like she is out of control since her stepfather came along. She don’t know how to control her anger or express herself better. It don’t help when her stepfather talk down to her and her mother all the times. At times she thinks she going crazy. Hopefully Lex gets the helps she needs before it’s to late.

This book was an interesting read. The main character struggles with her issues and to control her emotions. It don’t help having someone making things worse for her. I did like the storyline to the book and how good the ending was to it. It deals with kinda mental health issues and controlling issues also. The book recently came out just came out, just late on reading and reviewing it.

My Review:

Welcome to Layoverland! A place where you wait for your number to be called to be place in heaven or be stuck forever in limbo.

Beatrice was having a such bad day. First she gets into a fight with her sister and then a truck hits her car. Next thing she know she waking up on a plane. She is told she is dead and must now collect 5,000 souls to move on.

Bea may not be a bad person at heart, but she does things out of revenge. She never thinks of the consequences of her actions. Just punish people her way, like with Caleb. The boy who caused this mess in the first. When she has to receive his memories to cross over. Bea makes sure he relives everything horrible in his life before he remembers why he was there in first.

Turns out Caleb is not such a bad person after all. Can Bea put her revenge scam aside and let the poor boy move on??

This book turns out to be a nice original read. I enjoy the setting of the book was in a airport. It’s was neat seeing how the main characters interact with other. They the only ones about the same age at the airport and must work together to figure our how things works. Even escaping from airport was impossible when the characters went to explore outside and end up back inside. Bea may be stuck at airport for years so she better learn to make some friends along the way also.

Layoverland was such a fun read. You stuck in limbo waiting to move on. Looking for something different, then check it out.

{Arc Review} What Kind of Girl by Alyssa Sheinmel

Book Summary:

My Review:

What kind of girl walks into school with a black eye and accuse her popular boyfriend of hitting her.

Maya has everything going for her. The prefect grades, being popular, always doing what she is told. Then one day she walks into school and accuse Mike of hitting her. She still loves him, but just wanted the abuse to stop. Now with people taking sides at school, she conflicted on how to handle Mike situation.

Junie has a lot going on herself. She is shock to find out her friend was hit. Junie tries hard to reconnect with Maya and be there for her also. In the meantime, Junie is dealing with her own demons.

With rumors spreading around on who is at fault, it will be a matter of time when the truth comes out.

The review of this book was very difficult for me to write. I got so tongue tied on what to say without spoiling much of it. I did in fact loved What Kind of Girl. It was a very intense read from the beginning to end. There a lot of trigger warning in the book. I like how all the characters interact with each other. The mini twist in the book was a nice touch to it.

What kind of girl is about labels people put on each other at school. Also base on rumors on who is right or wrong. Being in high school is tough nowadays.

My Review:

Keystone is a place where you are disconnected from the world. You learn the art of the heist and to become anyone you want to. A school for learning to be the best thief.

Ella life kinda blew up in her face. When tragic strikes her friends on a boat, she becomes someone new. Now learn at a school of thieves. It kinda hard to do when the pass has a way of catching up with you.

She has the skill of good instincts. Ella can act her out of anything and be prefect fit to train at Keystone. She becomes a new person and hopefully can leave the past behind, if Garrett will let her.

This book was so good. I so engrossed in the story and world building. The world is pretty neat in the book. You have life online and being watch all the time. You must learn to become popular in order to make it big. You can become discounted and disappear from the spotlight if you don’t follow the rules.

I likes the interactions with Garrett and Ella. It was fun when they always bumping heads,yet they feel something for each other. They both have there own secrets at keystone. Ella and Garrett are both very skill and must work together to pass a test.

My Review:

Eight criminals force together by the queen, to kill a god.

Larkin all her life knows how to hid her magic. She does things in order to survive and take care of her family. On the night of her birthday she is taken away with her brother. Now force to do the queen bidding or her family will be in danger.

Secrets lays within the underground. No one has ever live to tell them. Will 8 powerful strangers, be able to unlock the secrets, save themselves and their family?

I really did like this book. It was a bit action pack and fun. You get so engrossed on the actions and the creatures that go bump in the night. Even some the characters you get to know and like. Not everyone is bad as they appear. You know people will do anything to just to survive in a world where no magic is allow.
