My Review:

This is book two of Crave if you have yet read book one, then you can disregard this review.

Crush pick up where we left off in the first book. Grace walking around the campus with no memory of what happen to her in the pass months. Each day Grace starts loosing track of the time and more memories. While everyone wonders what happens to Hudson, they find out he could be very close.

This book was such a fast pace read. I really love how much each have the characters have grown since the last book. There so many fun new characters you might love and enjoy. It still full of some fun twists and turns until the very end.

This time Grace is not a useless human, she finds out she a badass gargoyle. As we all have find out at the end of Crave. This time you will see her train and access her abilities and prove that she does belongs. Also while dealing, with two hot vampire brothers pinning for her attention.

So enjoy the fun in Crush.

My Review:

What happens when your life turn upside and move into a boarding school?

Grace has lost everything and now she moves in with her cousin and uncle. They live an boarding school, which things are not as they seem. Being a new girl is hard enough, but you got everyone staring at you.

Grace feels like something more going on at this school, there are some family secrets she discovers along the way.

Jaxon a close off from everyone and is a vampire, wants nothing to do with Grace being at the school. They always bump heads, even if Grace don’t know that he is a vampire at first.

Grace is about to discover this magical world that seems so unreal.

This book was so good. I enjoyed the story and the setting to it. Who would have thought there be a boarding school with magical creatures.

I did like Grace in the book. She had a trouble past, and cooping with a lot of change, but she is smart enough to know something is up at the school.

I love Jaxon so much, he is in his own little world. Kinda rules the school and won’t let anyone get out of line. Grace makes things hard on him since she don’t play by Jaxon rules.

This is a new fresh take with the vampire genre and I’m glad I was able to read it. It was fun and exciting read, with a ending leaving you wanting me.

My Review:

What happens when prom don’t turn right? You end up repeating it until you have the prefect night.

JJ has the prefect prom night plan out with his best friend Lucy. Things never turn out the way they plan for the day. JJ was nice inviting another girl into going to prom with them. On the way he helps someone fix their car, while missing prom. His friend Lucy at prom waiting anxiously for him. Little did jj know Lucy had a surprise for jj.

After JJ and Lucy have a big blow up, he ends up reliving the same prom night over and over again. Trying to get it right.

This book was kinda a fun read. It has a freaky Friday vibe going on.

I adore JJ in the book. He was a very nice person and worries so much about everyone. He can be clueless on how his friend Lucy feeling at times. When he gets to repeat the night over again and again, he starts understanding on what’s happening with Lucy.

Lucy is a bit uptight in the book. She must havr everything prefect and gets upset when it falls apart. She has a major panic attack at prom where she end up in the hospital. That when JJ starts his adventures of repeating prom.

Will JJ be able to set thing right?

The Time of Your Life is a good read to lift up your mood.

My Review:

A world filled with water and hidden secrets.

Tempe is all alone when her parents and sister passed away. She learn a shocking secret about her sister, so she will do whatever it takes to relieve her and get answers.

What was Elysea doing on the day her parents disappeared and how did she really die?

Lor who works in the basement of the revival place. He has his secrets why he keeps to himself and likes it better that way. For a flavor from his only friend, he helps him out for the day. He is in charge of over seeing Elysea revival.

When Tempe escape with her dead sister, Lor is in for a big adventure.

I really did enjoy the storyline a lot. It was something so original and different. The characters are very likeable and fun when the interact with each other. Tempe is very smart and willing to do whatever it takes to get answers. Elysea trying to comes to terms what happen, that she dead. She tries hard to remember that night and don’t want anyone in trouble for escaping. Lor not very good talking with people, he just don’t his friend to get in trouble. Plus he hiding some secrets about the revival.

Lor, Tempe, and Elysea set on an adventure on the high seas. If they don’t end up killing each other.

This book was very hard to review and explain so I did the best I can. I love the world building and everything. Even the cover is so pretty.

My Review:

What happens when your best friend is hiding a dark secret from you?

Zoe and Hank does everything together.  Been best friends forever.

Hank aka Hanna, always following in Zoe footsteps. Has a problem saying no to her, even if she feels uncomfortable doing what Zoe says. She also dealing with the lost of her father and trying to be civil with the new man in her mom’s life. Hank may have the looks of her life together, but on the inside dealing with grief and lost.

Zoe is dealing with a lot of stress in her life. Her family is falling a part, she also don’t feel comfortable with her weight. She tried to have fun in dangerous ways, instead of dealing with the problems at hand. The only control she has is not eating and cutting herself. Zoe will drag Hank with her into dangerous fun to escape her problems.

Will Hank be able to get through to Zoe before it’s to late?

I really did enjoy the book. It deals a lot with sensitive issues like eating disorder and cutting. The way the friends the interact with each other, I did like in the book. They are like  so codependent on each other. Think they be lost without each other.  You watch them grow in the book and learning to be themselves at the same time. You get so drawn into the story good and hard to put until the very end.

This book is a good friendship read,no matter what happens you hope they are still friends in the end.

{Arc Review} Furious Things by Jenny Downham

Book Summary:

My Review:

Being angry all the time can hurt the ones you love, but is it really a mental thing or something going on at home.

Lex seems like she is out of control since her stepfather came along. She don’t know how to control her anger or express herself better. It don’t help when her stepfather talk down to her and her mother all the times. At times she thinks she going crazy. Hopefully Lex gets the helps she needs before it’s to late.

This book was an interesting read. The main character struggles with her issues and to control her emotions. It don’t help having someone making things worse for her. I did like the storyline to the book and how good the ending was to it. It deals with kinda mental health issues and controlling issues also. The book recently came out just came out, just late on reading and reviewing it.

My Review:

Welcome to Layoverland! A place where you wait for your number to be called to be place in heaven or be stuck forever in limbo.

Beatrice was having a such bad day. First she gets into a fight with her sister and then a truck hits her car. Next thing she know she waking up on a plane. She is told she is dead and must now collect 5,000 souls to move on.

Bea may not be a bad person at heart, but she does things out of revenge. She never thinks of the consequences of her actions. Just punish people her way, like with Caleb. The boy who caused this mess in the first. When she has to receive his memories to cross over. Bea makes sure he relives everything horrible in his life before he remembers why he was there in first.

Turns out Caleb is not such a bad person after all. Can Bea put her revenge scam aside and let the poor boy move on??

This book turns out to be a nice original read. I enjoy the setting of the book was in a airport. It’s was neat seeing how the main characters interact with other. They the only ones about the same age at the airport and must work together to figure our how things works. Even escaping from airport was impossible when the characters went to explore outside and end up back inside. Bea may be stuck at airport for years so she better learn to make some friends along the way also.

Layoverland was such a fun read. You stuck in limbo waiting to move on. Looking for something different, then check it out.

My Review:

A girl who was found unconscious by the river bank. She is lucky to just be alive as reports of another girl found dead almost the same spot.

Amelia is recovering the best as she can. She can’t seem to remember what happen that day. Her best friend was the one that found her. Everyone thinks she might have try to kill herself, but she has a nagging feeling that something more sinister going on.

Her hest friend acting weird, then the guy who hates her brother take a notice in her. Amelia getting strange messages to leave it be. Who can she really trust, when the people close to her seem to be lying to her.

This book was pretty good. The cover I do like a lot, so breathtaking and pretty. Amelia was lucky a tree stop her fall and from going in that water to drown. The book may be a little predictable at times for some readers. It kept me entertained until the very end. This book is very short read.

My Review:

Three Things I know is True is a game that Clay, Jonan and Liv used to play all the time. Then one day everything changes for the three friends.

Liv is trying to keep balance between school and taking care of Jonah. After his accident, she became like his care giver. Learning from the nurses on how to ease her brother pain. She still a kid and should be living her life not worry about the stress of taking care of Jonah.With her mom so busy working and making sure Clay gets what her deserve on what happen.

Clay and Jonah were playing around in the attic one day. When Jonah found a gun and wants to play with it, he accidentally shot himself in head. Clay and his family are trouble for having a gun in the house and the lines are cross on who was right and wrong. Lucky for him, Liv sneaks out to see him to play their game. They just want to try to move on what happen and try to make sense of it all.

This book was emotional roller coaster between the characters. The details on how badly Jonah was shot in head, was well written I thought. You feel so bad for him, can’t move and cries at night for his sister. Then Liv will do anything to keep her brother with her and have Clay there also. I don’t think she blames Clay for the accident. She just wants everything like it should be before the gun went off. The book is written weird at first, but kinda got use to it.

Hopefully things work out in the end.
