My Review:

In Pretend She’s Here, the book is about grieving a lost of a friend and daughter. Some people grieve in their own way or grieve in a unhealthy way.

For Emily she dealing with the lost of her best friend. She has support from friends and family to help her out. It been a long time since she saw Lizzie’s family. She thought they long move on with life but she was wrong.

Lurking in the darkness of grief, Lizzie’s family been plotting and planning. They do whatever it takes to have their daughter back, even if it means to kidnap Emily. Making Emily pretend she is their dead daughter by force.

With lives threaten, Emily must become something she is not and slowly start loosing herself in the process. Will she be able to find a way to escape?

This book was such an emotional read. At times it was a little dark. You can really feel how each characters is handling the situation at hand. Overall I really liked this read and so engrossed in the story, also rooting for Emily. This is a tense read and has mental abuse. May be little sensitive to other readers.

If your into heavy read thrillers, then you may like Pretend She’s Here. Also you can check it out library if your unsure of this read.

My Review:

The Best Lies was such a thrill ride. I really did enjoy the story and love the characters in it.

Remy and Elise are prefect for each other. They been through a lot of tough times together and are hardly ever a part. What happens when one of them just snap?

Right off bat the book starts off with Jack’s death. It is told in flashbacks on Remy and Elise friendship, and up until that night. With Remy still in shock and trying to come into grips what happen. Is she willing to protect Elise, and what really happen to Jack?

This book was a roller coaster ride. I really was hooked onto the story from begining until to end. I’m glad I picked it on sale for 50% at barnes and nobles, and gave it a shot. The cover is so sweet and innocent. Could read this book over and over again. If your in mood for some new mystery/thriller reads, you’ll be in for a treat.

My Review:

I really do enjoy reading Riley Sager books so much. He is known to have such amazing twists in his mystery/thrillers books. He is one of my favorite adult books reader.

This book start out at the fancy, hotel. Where the celebrities and the rich stay.

For Jules it was her big break to start over, she becomes an apartment sitter. Pretty simple enough, live in a very nice apartment and follow some strange rules for three months. Jules even try to make friend with a fellow apartment sitter. But her new friend disappear, then things don’t seem right at home. What dark secrets lurking behind the walls of Bartholomew?

This book is slow start, but picks up pretty good in the middle. I did have fun guessing throughout the book. The twist at the end, was shocking crazy. That you must read for yourself. If your in mood for an good mystery then check Lock Every Door on July 2.

My Review:

Jinxed was such a killer read. I enjoyed every minute of it. It was very detailed in the death of the characters. I loved the book cover as well and enjoyed some of the characters within.

I thought Layna was very talented and brave in the book. She has a good group of friends and a boyfriend who adores her. So who would want to harm Layna’s perfect life?

This book was such a thrill ride. With such a who guessing game of Who done it? If you enjoy high school drama while a killer is on the loose, then you might like this book. It has a killer ending that leaves you with more questions. Filled with twists, fun and lots of dead bodies, this fulfills all your horror needs. For myself as a horror fan, this blew my mind.

My Review:

This book was so haunting and breathe taking. I loved the story idea and the characters development in the book.

Marion, I somewhat liked her in the book. She mostly closed off and keep to self after an accident first time entering Sawkill Island. She just want to find a place where she belongs. What deep dark secrets are on Sawkill island will she discover?

Zoey, she is my favorite in the book. The only in the book that is smart on what’s happening on Sawkill Island. When her best friend goes missing, she knew something big is going on. To many girls had disappear on the island. Will Zoey be able to find the answers before it’s to late?

Val, the queen bee on the island. At first she comes off way to charming. Behind her looks and the charms, she hides a dark secret. All the girls that become her friend disappears. What does she know about the missing girls? What secrets is she keeping from everyone?

This book is the prefect fall. I enjoy the point of views between all three girls. You get a sense on who they are. In the end the book is filled with lots of twists and turns. You will not regret picking this book up for the fall.

My Review:

This book had so many Buffy the vampire slayer feelings. I did enjoy the story idea of the book. And also the characters within the book I like. I happen upon this old book on instagram. Glad I find it at library and read it.

Kali, our demon hunter in the book. I liked her a lot in the book. She is brave and daring. Willing to risk her life for people she hardly knows. Then at school she is just a new girl hardly anyone knows her. Once she see the head cheerleader bitten, will she be able to save her life? Both her demon world and human life will collide. Will Kali be ready to let her new friends in?

This book is filled with demon killing. There some twists and turns along the way. If you into demon hunters type of books, then you might enjoy this book. I glad I found it on social media.

Book summary:

When West McCray—a radio personality working on a segment about small, forgotten towns in America—overhears Sadie’s story at a local gas station, he becomes obsessed with finding the missing girl. He starts his own podcast as he tracks Sadie’s journey, trying to figure out what happened, hoping to find her before it’s too late.

My Review:

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Really enjoy the twists and turn to it. The story and the characters were well written and very good.

Sadie and Mattie, I enjoy we get a history of how the girls grew up together. It was a difficult life they had growing up but they work through it together, until Mattie shows up dead. Now Sadie on on the run to track down Mattie’s killer. Will Sadie be able to get the answers she needs and find justice for her sister?

This book more for older teens. It has some sensitive topics in it. Still it a good mystery/thriller book. It comes out this week. Looking for something new mystery, then I suggest this book.

Book Summary:

My Review:

I know I’m reviewing an adult read. I did enjoyed Riley Sager other book, The Final Girls. So i was excited for his new book. He is gonna to be my go to guy for good adult thrillers. If you guys not into adult thrillers, then you can skip this review.

The detailed summary give most of the book away. It what written on back of book. Don’t forget it’s a thriller and there be some twists and turns.

I enjoyed the main character story, Emma. I liked how the story switches up between her time at camp in the past and now. There’s a lot of questions on what happen years ago and Emma the main suspect. How can three campers just disappears years ago? Emma faces her past when she goes back to camp. Will she be able to find answers to the past?

The book is a slow start like any mystery/thriller read. Once it picks up, you will keep guessing until the very end on what’s going on. Beware, Riley knows how to shock you in the end. In mood for good thriller, then this book be a right for for you.
