The Mary Shelly Club by Goldy Moldavsky

Summary:

New girl Rachel Chavez is eager to make a fresh start at Manchester Prep. But as one of the few scholarship kids, Rachel struggles to fit in, and when she gets caught up in a prank gone awry, she ends up with more enemies than friends.

To her surprise, however, the prank attracts the attention of the Mary Shelley Club, a secret club of students with one objective: come up with the scariest prank to orchestrate real fear. But as the pranks escalate, the competition turns cutthroat and takes on a life of its own.

When the tables are turned and someone targets the club itself, Rachel must track down the real-life monster in their midst . . . even if it means finally confronting the dark secrets from her past.

My Review:

The Mary Shelly Club was such a scream filled fun. This book will have all your horror movie needs. So many fun awesome references, while the main character is living in one. Another cover I did like. You can see a hand grabbing at the main character on it.

Rachel has a tragic event happening to her in the beginning of book. Now she is a new town looking for a way to fit in. After what happen to her, she discover the love of horror movies. Her love of horror, gets her the attention of a group. Soon she finds herself a place where she belongs, but something from her past comes after her.

Will she be able she face her past, before it’s to late?

This book has Scream movie written all over it. Which I really did love. Even enjoy the reference to some classic horror movies. As someone who grew up watching horror stuff, I loved this book. So geek out over it. It was very hard to put down. With some crazy twists towards it worth the read.

Prefect for fans who love horror and ready to read some fall books. Sorry I said horror to much in review. 😆

Happy Reading!!!!!
